Summary

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) hosts three major annual conferences: the Health Policy Conference, the National Conference, and the Fall Conference. These events bring together nurse practitioners (NPs) for professional development, networking, and advocacy. This document outlines the business requirements for managing AANP conferences efficiently within Salesforce, ensuring streamlined processes for both internal and external users. The aim is to provide a seamless experience for attendees, from registration through post-conference follow-up, and to maintain accurate integration with Salesforce.

Key Conferences:

  1. Health Policy Conference:

    • Focuses on advocacy and policy-making in the NP profession.
    • Held in January or February each year.
  2. National Conference:

    • The largest AANP event, featuring numerous educational sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.
    • Held in June each year.
  3. Fall Conference:

    • Focuses on clinical education and professional development.
    • Held in September each year.

Requirements

External User Requirements (Attendees)

Conference Registration and Management:

  1. As an external user, I should be able to register for any AANP conference online.
  2. As an external user, I should be able to choose my attendee type during registration (e.g., member, non-member, student).
  3. As an external user, I should be able to view and update my registration details online.
  4. As an external user, I should be able to receive automated confirmation emails upon successful registration.
  5. As an external user, I should be able to access and download my registration receipt and any other relevant documents.

Session and Event Participation: 6. As an external user, I should be able to browse and select sessions and events to attend during the conference. 7. As an external user, I should be able to add sessions to my personal conference schedule and download it. 8. As an external user, I should be able to provide feedback for sessions and events I attended.

Conference Communications: 9. As an external user, I should receive timely notifications and updates about the conference schedule, sessions, and any changes. 10. As an external user, I should be able to communicate with conference organizers for any inquiries or assistance.

Internal User Requirements

Conference Registration Management:

  1. As an internal user, I should be able to manage and oversee all conference registrations in a centralized system.

  2. As an internal user, I should be able to update attendee registration details and process any changes or cancellations.

  3. As an internal user, I should be able to generate reports on registration metrics, including attendee types, session selections, and cancellations.

  4. As an internal user, I should be able to integrate conference registration data with Salesforce for accurate record-keeping and follow-up.

Session and Event Management: 5. As an internal user, I should be able to create and manage conference sessions and events within the system.

  1. As an internal user, I should be able to track session attendance and collect feedback from attendees.

  2. As an internal user, I should be able to generate reports on session attendance and feedback to evaluate session effectiveness and attendee satisfaction.

Conference Communications and Marketing: 8. As an internal user, I should be able to send automated emails and notifications to attendees regarding their registration, session schedules, and any changes.

Integration and Reporting: 10. As an internal user, I should be able to integrate conference data with other AANP systems for seamless data flow and reporting.
